About this blog

For the past four years I’ve worked as a reporter for Reforma, one of the most important newspapers in my country. I write about social issues such as human rights, gender, children, disability and migration.
On 2010 I won a scholarship to study a master’s degree in Multimedia Journalism at Sussex University.
During the first term of my course, I had to do an interactive media project, which showed journalistic value.
I took advantage of my experience covering human rights in my country for more than three years, precisely when President Felipe Calderón took office, to create this blog.
Mexico’s drug war has caused thousands of deaths, and innumerable human rights violations.

My intention is not to fully present each of these violations, but to give a small sample of what is currently happening in my country, where, as expert Rupert Knox from Amnesty International said to me in a video interview posted in this blog, there is a failure of the current government to meet the expectations and commitments it has made in the field of human rights.
